Yoga & Art weekend
Alnmouth, Northumberland | 6–8 November 2026
A weekend set aside for you — to move, to paint, to slow down.
About the Weekend
Nestled on the beautiful Northumberland coast, the village of Alnmouth provides the perfect setting for an immersive creative retreat. This carefully crafted weekend brings together two powerful practices — yoga and oil painting — to help you reconnect with yourself, release everyday tension, and rediscover your creative flow.
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen an existing practice, this weekend is designed to inspire, nourish, and restore. Come as you are — all levels are welcome.

Yoga to unleash your creative flow
Each morning begins with a guided yoga session focused on sensation, breath, and mindful movement — practices specifically chosen to dissolve tension and bring you into the present moment. When you slow down and tune inward, you create the conditions for authentic self-expression to emerge naturally, carrying that openness with you through the day and into your painting.
Each evening closes with a gentle restorative session: time to unwind, reflect, and meditate as the day settles.
Oil Painting in the Northumbrian Landscape
Using the stunning landscape around Alnmouth as your inspiration, you’ll explore simple and dynamic approaches to painting with oils. Through step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you’ll build confidence, loosen up, and widen your painting repertoire.
Discover how working with a palette knife — rather than a brush — can shift the entire mood and tone of a piece just as powerfully as colour can. Whether you are picking up oil paints for the first time or looking to deepen your practice, this course is crafted to inspire and nourish your creative self.
